The Intercontinental Budapest is situated in the heart of the City on the Danube River with views across to Castle Hill and the Royal Palace. The historic Chain Bridge which connects Buda to Pest is just steps away along with the Parliament Buildings. The Vaci utca shopping street, Central Market Hall, and Gellert Baths are also within walking distance.
Client Brief
To design a stylish destination space creating a glamourous and exclusive lounge that outshines local competition and enhances the hotel. To update the existing design of the pool and gym and to create an atmospheric and inviting spa.
Design Approach
Club Lounge: Rich and luxurious fabrics with subtle but elegant patterns are combined with leather. Glass feature pendant lights and table lamps add sparkle. Open display units and leather clad fins allow glimpses into each area whilst ensuring privacy for the Executive Guest. Spa: Aqua leathers and soft green fabrics are set against a neutral back drop of Monaco Brown marble and pearlescent specialist paint finishes creating a tranquil and calming environment.
