New build

Situated on the North African Mediterranean coastline on the Gulf of Sidra. This hotel is a new build but retaining the façade of the original building. A large hotel boasting almost 300 guestrooms, large open public areas with extremely high ceilings.

Client Brief

To design a contemporary sleek interior with subtle links to the area & it’s culture. With core clientele being business customers this must be taken into account when designing the guestrooms.

Design Approach

Picking up on the local architecture & patterning we have reflected this not only in the room design & layout but also through fabric selections & use of interesting textures. The high ceilings & open plan reception are decorated with tall bespoke screens & oversized tiered pendants, all in very neutral sand colour tones. The design will take on some Libyan characteristics & blend with a fusion of contemporary North African patterns to achieve a contemporary hotel with a real sense of place.
